My name is Rabiya and I studied Craniosacral Balancing and Holistic Massage (including Pregnancy Massage) in Poona (India) at the ‘Osho International Academy of Healing Arts’ in 1991/1992.
After many years of doing Osho meditations, group work and bodywork, I decided to take a course so I could give body massages and in particular Craniosacral balancing.
In 1997, I started as the first masseuse at the Koan Float Center, then situated on Prinsengracht in Amsterdam. I continued my training and took other courses, such as Rebalancing and Watsu (bodywork in warm water), Tao Bodywork and Breath Therapy.
The massages I now give are a mixture of soft connective tissue massage, deep muscle tissue massage, relaxation of the joints and working on energy blockages. I can combine these with or without craniosacral therapy as wished. Children are very welcome and mothers and fathers may stay and watch during the massage.
I always consult with the client before the massage as well as during the massage.
I continue to advance learning by regularly exchanging massages with my colleagues. This includes Manual lymphatic drainage, Rebalancing and Craniosacral Balancing. Being on the receiving end is the best learning experience for me now.
Cranio-sacraal balancing bij Rabiya:
Special techniques used in Osteopathy invite you to totally relax. Deep Tissue Massage, the relaxation of joints, working on energy and chakras: all help the process of letting go and healing. The body focuses on release and improving flow. Craniosacral Balancing allows you to observe, see and feel in the here and now. After these therapies you will feel rejuvenated and in touch.
Cranio-sacral Balancing can have the following effects:
reduces stress and feelings of anxiety
strengthens the immune system
allows connective tissue to move freely
relaxes the entire nervous system
helps alleviate hyperactivity, in children as well
vitalizes organs
improves sight, hearing and the sense of touch
unleashes blocked energy from traumatic experiences, accidents, emotional scars, operations etc.
